Soveren Solar’s first commercial Vermont Community Solar project in Putney, VT. Providing power for three southern Vermont businesses, the Scholl field has regularly overproduced its projected electrical output. The solar farm pictured above is located in a field owned by the Scholl family, 1¼ miles north of the Putney General Store on Rt. 5. Like many of the more recent VCS projects, this site has been secured through a 50-year land lease agreement, which will remain intact in the event the land changes hands. There has been an overwhelmingly positive review. Since its installation more and more businesses in southern Vermont have looked to us to provide their electricity. You can read more about this project on our Previous Community Solar Projects page.
