I don’t know if you, the reader, have noticed or been involved or effected by the debate centering around RECs and community solar companies, but it has been on the forefront of our minds for a few weeks now.  As with any true debate, there are heightened feelings on both sides.  As a business, Soveren Solar is in compliance with the Attorney General’s Guidelines, and we offer the option to retire RECs has always been, and continues to be, open.  What is difficult to manage is the confusion it has led to with our customers who we have, from the start, only looked to help.  It is difficult to read articles in the press about how businesses involved in community solar are slanderous, double-crossing, and falsely advertising renewable energy.  It was just as shocking to us as to our customers to see this.  After days of frantically searching our documents and websites to make absolutely sure the wording was safe while managing confused call ins, it was difficult not to respond to the accusations. We hope that after these two weeks that the world leaders and all involved will come forward with innovative and meaningful solutions for the world.  This is the time to act boldly.  Stay tuned for...
