Peter started building passive solar houses in California in 1976. Starting in 1995, he spent 12 years living in Auroville, an international community of about 2,000 people in southern India. There he was responsible for designing, installing and maintaining both the photovoltaic and solar hot water systems for the community where he lived. Peter started Soveren in the fall of 2008.
Simon has been a certified NABCEP installer since 2009. He joined Soveren in the summer of 2010 as Soveren’s chief electrician. Simon has worked in industrial and residential electrical design and installation for over ten years.
Anna joined the company in 2014 as an installer and currently works as the Office Manager for Soveren. Based out of southern VT, she has experience in permaculture and a degree in Political Science. She continues working for greater sustainability in the North East.
Hector joined Soveren in 2010. He has a degree in Arts and Spanish and studied Permaculture in 2004. Since then he has developed programs in rural communities and Waldorf and Montessori schools. He likes to play music and lead expeditions into the mountains, having been an instructor for Outward Bound.
Alex began working for Soveren in 2013, working with us on and off throughout the years as he pursues his degree in Renewable Energies and Sustainability Policy Management. He has worked with a variety of solar companies during his career and aided in the development and construction of installations ranging from small-scale off-grid systems to industrial-sized megawatt arrays.
